Australia’s largest universities say China’s warning issued to students is disappointing and unjustified.
The ministry of education has told students it’s risky to study in Australia because of cases of discrimination and the coronavirus pandemic.
The warning comes just days after Beijing issued a travel alert about the dangers of coming to Australia due to a “significant increase” in racist attacks on “Chinese and Asian people”.
The Group of Eight, which represents the nation’s largest universities, rejects the claims that Australia isn’t safe, as too does the Federal Government.
